Baby + Toddler Gift Guide 2021

As a parent with an almost 3 year old and a 4 month old, this Christmas is so exciting. This is the year my son is really into playing, imagining things and honing a lot of his skills. I had so much fun picking out toys and activities for his advent calendar and under the tree. I’ve listed them all below for you all and also included a few extra items below that may not be pictured, so be sure to check those out.

I want to also mention that while these items are all very attractive, I also considered the source of these items. I try to purchase items made with sustainable materials mostly from small shops. A good majority of these items I purchased throughout the year preowned from buy sell trade groups and second hand sources such as Mercari. I encourage you to try to do the same. But in the case you are last minute purchasing before Christmas, I did my best to link them at the lowest price for you.

Toddler

  1. Play Silk - Tantalizing to the senses and the key to an entire world of imagination, these play silks can be used for so many things from the roof of a fort to a superhero cape or the blanket for a fairy picnic. I have a feeling we will eventually have a whole collection of them.

  2. Mr. Boddington’s ‘Twas The Night Before Christmas - This amazing book has the most beautiful illustrations I have seen in a while and is sure to become a part of our yearly Christmas tradition. I look forward to pulling this out literally the night before Christmas and sharing a special moment with our children.

  3. Wood Doctor Play Set - Miles plays with this every single day so I highly recommend this for the toddler in your life. So much fun to play pretend and also adds comfort to doctor visits which can be scary for some children.

  4. Up to the Stars Stacking Game - Your toddler practices patience and balance by stacking gorgeous wooden discs to make a rocket.

  5. Moon Picnic Weather Station - A great way to start talking about the weather with your child.

  6. Screw Board - Perfect for wooden toy collectors and montessori practicing families. My son always wants to help me do things around the house, so this is great practice item for him.

  7. Holztiger Wooden Animals - These standup wooden figurines make great collector’s items and offer lots of imaginative play.

  8. Fairy Tale Forest Matryoshka Nesting Acorn - Collect leaves and nature items outside and store them in these beautiful handmade wooden acorns. Also hours of play with opening and storing using the nesting feature.

  9. Wavee Wobble Board - Gorgeous and made with sustainable materials, a wobble board provides entertainment not only physically, but also imaginatively. Ride and balance like a skateboard or flip it over for a big ramp for your toy cars or a bridge for them to ride under. So many possibilities.
